A soldier with the Bamberg, Germany-based 16th Sustainment Brigade has died in a vehicle accident, the Army said Tuesday.

The soldier, part of the 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, was killed in an accident that occurred on Monday evening at the Joint Multinational Training Command in Grafenwöhr, according to a news release issued by the 21st Theater Sustainment Command.

The identification of the deceased has not been released as next of kin has not been notified, the news release said.

The accident is under investigation by both the 16th and the U.S. Army Combat Readiness/Safety Center, the release said.

No further information was provided as of Tuesday afternoon.
