Bahrain-based sailor dies in non-combat related incident
NAPLES, Italy — A Navy commander died Wednesday in Bahrain as a result of a non-combat related incident, the Department of Defense announced.
Cmdr. James K. Crawford, 50, of East Concord, N.Y. died in the capital, Manama. He was assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, according to a Navy release.
Crawford was supporting operations at the Combined Maritime Forces Coalition Coordination Center at Naval Support Activity Bahrain, according to the Navy. No other details were immediately available. An investigation into Crawford’s death is in progress.
