Australian Navy ships to visit Guam
Two Royal Australian Navy ships — HMAS Anzac and HMAS Success — were scheduled to begin a port visit Friday on Guam, according to the U.S. Navy.
The ships recently participated in the Rim of the Pacific, the world’s largest international maritime exercise. More than 20,000 military personnel from 10 nations took part in the biennial training.
The Anzac is the lead frigate in the Royal Australian Navy and has about 170 sailors. The Success is an auxiliary oiler replenishment vessel and the largest ship built in Australia for the country’s navy. It has about 220 crewmembers.
