KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — Two buildings on Kleber Kaserne were struck by suspicious blazes early Tuesday.

The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the “aggravated arson” of the two buildings. In the basement of Building 3242, which houses some soldiers of the 66th Transportation Company, trash was set ablaze at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to a posting on U.S. Army Garrison Kaiserslautern’s official Facebook page.

Soon after responding to the call, firefighters responded to Building 3246, where a couch was on fire in a basement recreation room. Both were easily extinguished, according to the garrison.

Anyone with information about either incident can contact CID at DSN 483-6887 or commercial 0162-297-5880. Alternatively, contact the Kaiserslautern MP station at DSN 489-7070 or commercial 0631-536-7070.
