Army recruiter accused of soliciting girls as young as 10 for sex

DENVER (Tribune News Service) — Colorado law enforcement officials say they've arrested a U.S. Army recruiter on suspicion of soliciting girls as young as 10 for sex after he sent selfies calling himself “Colorado batman."

Ken Hardcastle, 31, has been arrested on supicion of internet luring of a child and internet sexual exploitation of a child, according to Arapahoe County District Court records.

“Sexy? Think again,” the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a tweet. “We worry there may be other victims. If he’s chatted with your daughter, call 720-874-8477.”

The sheriff’s office released photographs of Hardcastle that were used to lure children including one identifying him as “Colorado batman” and another in which he is half clothed, the tweet said.
