The Scholarships for Military Children program is accepting applications for $1,500 scholarships through Feb. 16, program officials said.
The program is open to unmarried children of either active-duty or retired servicemembers. Applicants must be 21 or younger or 23 or younger if currently enrolled in school. They must be planning to attend an accredited university full-time during the fall 2005 semester or be enrolled in a program designed to transfer to a four-year program. Student applicants and their parents also must be enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System database and hold a current ID card.
Applications are available at www.militaryscholar.org or at base commissaries.
