GRAFENWÖHR, Germany — Soldiers and family members at the Army helicopter base near Ansbach now have a new 47,000-foot post exchange.

The shopping center, which opened Thursday in the Urlas family housing area, includes a food court, barbershop and a car dealership, among other offerings, garrison officials said. It replaces a smaller PX on another area of the post. A new commissary is expected to open adjacent to the PX in the coming months, according to the garrison.

U.S. Army Europe opened the Urlas housing area in June 2011.

U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach is home to U.S. Army Europe’s major aviation component, the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. The unit is gradually returning from a spring deployment to Afghanistan and Kuwait.
