WüRZBURG, Germany — A cast of local amateur actors will present the original musical comedy “Viva Las Wedding” at a dinner theater this week in Würzburg and next week in Bamberg.

New Yorker Dan LaMorte wrote and produced the play, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Gordon Kippola — commander of the 1st Infantry Division band — wrote the 15 musical numbers.

The play is set in a Las Vegas wedding chapel and features audience participation as well as improvisational comedy.

It is a joint production of Bamberg’s Stable Theater and Würzburg’s Act One entourage and features 15 active-duty soldiers in its 30-member cast.

The show will play at the Cantigny Club on Würzburg’s Leighton Barracks Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. It will play at Bamberg’s Warner Club at 8 p.m. Nov. 21, and 5 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23.

Tickets, including an Italian dinner, are $16 for adults, $11 for children and free for pre- schoolers if purchased in advance. They are $19.95 for everyone on the night of the show.
