Airman jailed for eight months for Kunsan housing fraud
An Air Force staff sergeant received an eight-month jail sentence Tuesday for defrauding the government of more than $10,000 in housing money.
Staff Sgt. Rodney L. White of the 8th Fighter Wing, convicted of larceny and signing a false official document, also was reduced in rank to E-1 and given a bad conduct discharge.
White stated his dependents lived in Wakefield, Mass., when they actually lived in San Antonio.
White could have received a maximum of one year in confinement and two-thirds forfeiture of pay. He will be sent to the jail at Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Kunsan Air Base officials said Tuesday.
Lt. Col. Eric Dillow presided over the special court martial in Kunsan’s courtroom.
