YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — An airman assigned to the 374th Medical Group was found dead Sunday night in his Yokota dormitory, 374th Airlift Wing officials announced Monday morning via news release.

Senior Airman Daniel Robert Edgington, a laboratory technician who worked for the 374th Medical Support Squadron, was discovered at 7 p.m., base officials said. His age and hometown were not available on Monday, but base officials said family members have been notified.

Capt. David Westover, a 374th Airlift Wing spokesman contacted Monday afternoon, said he had no other details on circumstances surrounding the death.

The cause of death remains under investigation, the release stated.
