MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — An airman from the 35th Maintenance Squadron was cited for inattentive driving Monday after his vehicle rear-ended a Japanese national’s vehicle on Falcon Drive near the Auto Pride building, base officials reported.

The accident occurred at 6:46 a.m. Monday. The Japanese national was transported to Misawa City Hospital. No further details were available.
