An Air Force Academy airman was acquitted by a court-martial panel in a sexual assault case.
“Airman 1st Class Justin T. Burback was found not guilty by a 10-member panel of officers and non-commissioned officers after a six-day court-martial that ended Saturday,” the academy said in a Monday news release.
Burback, assigned to the academy’s 10th Security Forces Squadron, was acquitted on charges that he assaulted an intoxicated female airman.
He has been returned to duty in the wake of the verdict, the academy said.
