RAF MILDENHALL, England — Emergency responders at RAF Mildenhall are taking part in a major accident-response exercise through Thursday that is designed to test first-responder abilities, according to a release from the base.
Multiple agencies, including security forces, medical services, fire department and wing safety are expected to respond to a simulated fuel spill and to coordinate with local British agencies in the clean-up effort, according to a base spokesman.
Elements of the exercise can happen at any time of day or night, with flashing lights and sirens, and could impede the flow of traffic in the area, the release said.
