The Army and Air Force Exchange Service fuel coupons that are set to expire Sept. 30 will be good through Nov. 30, AAFES has announced.

The extended expiration date affects coupons purchased by AAFES customers in Germany and the Netherlands.

“The only thing that has changed on the coupons is the expiration date,” said Lt. Col. David A. Konop, public affairs officer for AAFES Europe, via e-mail Wednesday.

In addition to AAFES fuel stations on military installations, Esso stations throughout Germany and Aral stations along autobahns will honor the coupons past the expiration date.

The Esso stations in the Netherlands that currently accept coupons will continue to as well.

“The extension date takes these coupons through November. Customers should not need anything to convince gas vendors to honor them. A representative from Esso told AAFES this week that Aral stations on the autobahn should be notified of this extension,” Konop said.

The next series of fuel coupons should be available for sale around the end of October, AAFES said in a recent news release.
