Police have charged two soldiers with robbing two Fayetteville, N.C., banks since late December, the Fayetteville Observer reported Friday.
Pvt. Kali Eloi Robinson, 24, and Pvt. Christopher Bernard Jackson, 22, were charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy, police told the paper. The pair are accused of robbing the RBC Centura Bank on Tuesday, according to the report.
Both men are assigned to the 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, police told the Observer.
The two also are accused of robbing another RBC Centura Bank on Dec. 22, police said.
In that case, Robinson was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy; Jackson was charged with aiding and abetting armed robbery and conspiracy, the paper reported.
The arrests come less than two months after Fayetteville police charged four Fort Bragg soldiers in an alleged plot to rob another local bank, the Fort Sill National Bank. Pvt. 1st Class Raymond Wojcik, Pfc. Preilinson Conner, Tajia Conner, Pvt. Justin Roberson and Pfc. Louis Rodriguez were charged in the conspiracy, the Observer wrote.
