7th Civil Support Command marks 105 years of Army Reserve
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany — More than 100 soldiers with the 7th Civil Support Command turned out Tuesday to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Army Reserve at the Kaiserslautern Military Community Center. The event included equipment demonstrations, information tables and a poem reading, but the centerpiece was a huge sheet cake with 420 slices that was carted into the center in a crate and divvied out to soldiers and onlookers who gathered in the food court. Based in Kaiserslautern, the 7th Civil Support Command is the only Army Reserve unit located overseas. The unit has nearly 1,000 soldiers working throughout Europe. The Reserve has had a presence in Europe for 57 years, according to Army officials.
