U.S. and German authorities are investigating the cause of a two-car accident Thursday that killed a civilian employee from the 415th Base Support Battalion in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

The victim, Patsy G. Loomis, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Autobahn 62 near Landstuhl. Loomis was the community supervisory librarian for the 415th BSB. She is survived by two sisters.

Plans for a local memorial service for Loomis were pending as of Monday, and will be announced at a later date, according to the 415th BSB public affairs office.
