The 40th Armor Organization Day was celebrated Friday by members of the 2nd Medium Tank Bn. and sister battalions of the 40th Armor at Camp Beaver, Republic of Korea.

Company-level competition in military events and athletics were held. Capt. Austin L. Parker, commanding officer of Hq. Co., was presented a special guidon for having the best company on Organization Day.

The 40th Armor was organized shortly after the outbreak of World War II and has earned several battle honors in its short history.

The outfit has campaign streamers for Normandy, northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, Alsace and central Europe.
