The Department of Education recently named 141 high school seniors U.S. Presidential Scholars. Among them were three U.S. military dependents living in Europe.
They are: Tristan Fitch from Brussels American High School in Brussels, Belgium; Kathryn Osborn from Bonn International School in Bonn, Germany, and Katherine Kopan from Hope Academy of Bishkek in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Established in 1964 by executive order of the president, the program recognizes some of the nation’s distinguished senior students from across the U.S. and American families living abroad. Selectees will be honored in Washington, D.C., June 18-21.
