CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — A seven member team from the U.S. Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command in Hawaii recently departed for the Federal Republic of Germany and the Netherlands to search for 17 unaccounted servicemen from World War II.

The team will utilize leads from witnesses, conduct field research, and gather information to determine whether they should return at a later date and excavate sites, according to a news release.
