RAF MILDENHALL, England — Col. Brian T. Kelly assumed command of the 501st Combat Support Wing during a change of command ceremony Thursday at RAF Alconbury.
Kelly, who replaces Col. Timothy Cashdollar, became the wing's fourth commander since the unit was reactivated in May 2005.
Kelly most recently served as commander of the 31st Mission Support Group at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Cashdollar is slated to become the director of personnel at Pacific Air Forces headquartered in Hawaii.
The 501st CSW oversees three air-base groups scattered across the U.K. and a unit in Stavanger, Norway.
