Osan Air Base will host Sabre Run 2009, a series of races open to U.S. and South Korean airmen, their families, and civilians. Race-day registration will start at 8 a.m. Saturday at the softball fields behind Mustang Gymnasium. The first race will start at 10 a.m.

There will be a half-marathon, a 10K, a 5K and a children’s run.

Thunderbirds to fly at K-16’s Seoul Air ShowSeoul Air Show 2009 will be held Oct. 24-25 at K-16 Air Base in Seongnam. The show will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Republic of Korea Air Force Black Eagles, U-2 and B-52 flyovers and static displays.

The event is free to U.S. military personnel in uniform. For others, tickets are on sale for $8 at www.interpark.com (site is in Korean only) or Hana bank branches throughout South Korea.
