An Oct. 10 story about trilateral patrols by U.S., Arab and Kurdish forces in northern Iraq should have said that the Green Line marking a generally accepted border between semi-autonomous Kurdistan and the rest of Iraq evolved from barriers set up by Saddam Hussein to isolate the region after Operation Desert Storm ended in 1991.
