Gasoline prices at Pacific bases will increase 6 to 8 cents per gallon again this weekend after one of the biggest hikes so far this year, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service said.
Military stations in Japan and Okinawa will charge $2.27 per gallon for mid-grade unleaded gas beginning Saturday, AAFES reported.
South Korea facilities will charge $2.40, and Guam stations will charge $2.48 for unleaded.
The new pump prices are keeping pace with rising gas prices in the United States, according to the U.S. Energy Information Center.
Prices for unleaded gas in Japan, Okinawa, South Korea and Guam leaped 15 to 17 cents per gallon on May 16.
