The Pacific and Europe directors of Department of Defense Dependents Schools will exchange leadership roles in time for the 2009-2010 school year.

DODDS-Europe Director Diana Ohman will take over for current Pacific Director Nancy Bresell, who will fill the Europe position, DODDS announced Thursday.

"This change will be advantageous to the schools in each area by allowing for the benefits a different leadership perspective will bring to each school system," Shirley Miles, Department of Defense Education Activity director, was quoted as saying in a news release.

Miles said the move will help both women gain experience and further their development as senior government executives, adding that Ohman and Bresell already have "vast experience in education and school administration."
