A local construction company has been awarded a $3.4 million contract to repair and modernize bachelor quarters for Seabees on Camp Covington, U.S. Naval Base Guam.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas announced Tuesday that the contract has been awarded to the Guam-based Tumon Corporation.
“This award represents NAVFAC Marianas’ commitment and support of President Obama’s initiative to keep America working and to jump-start the economy,” said Capt. Paul Fuligni, NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer, in a press release.
The work is to begin in June and is expected to be completed by April 2010.
