Deployed servicemembers’ children have until Monday to apply for the A.R.M.Y. Challenge summer camp.

The A.R.M.Y. acronym stands for Adventure, Resilience, Memories, Youth, and the camp is scheduled for June 15-20.

The camp is hosted by Installation Management Command-Europe Child, Youth and School Services, and it includes activities such as culinary classes and sports, including basketball, soccer and track and field. Every camper will also participate in outdoor activities that include hiking, climbing and canoeing.

Children in grades six through 12 whose active-duty parents have deployed or will be deploying between June 1, 2008, and March 1, 2010, can apply for the camp. There also will be some open space for children who have deployed parents in the Air Force, Navy or Marine Corps.
