A special program on the worldwide outbreak of swine flu will be aired 10 a.m. Friday on "OpenLine," a radio talk show on American Forces Network —Europe.
Dr. (Col.) Richard Jordan, deputy commander of Europe Regional Medical Command, Col. Evelyn Barraza, preventive medicine consultant for ERMC, Col. Theresa Moser, ERMC force health protection officer and others will provide information on the swine flu situation in Europe and steps taken to protect members of the military community.
While several cases of swine flu were confirmed Thursday in Germany, "there is no cause for alarm," Jordan said in an ERMC news release.
"We are conducting this special radio talk show to dispel rumors and assure military community members that plans and processes are in place to assure their health and well-being."
