The Army is surveying soldiers, retirees and civilians at Grafenwöhr, Vicenza, Wiesbaden and Kaiserslautern to find out what they think about on-post services in Germany.

The online Customer Satisfaction Survey — the first of its kind — will be conducted at the four garrisons from Monday through Nov. 7, said Melynda Weaver, U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwöhr’s customer services officer.

The survey allows people to rate performance of garrison organizations through links at garrison Web sites or at: http://www.myarmyvoice.org/Community2008.

It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to fill out the survey, which is tailored to the person doing it, Weaver said.

For example, the questions are different depending on whether the person doing the survey is a soldier, civilian, retiree or teenager, she said.

The Army is also running focus groups and seeking input from Army leaders in Europe. The results of the survey will be included in a public report, she said.

"We’ll be able to see exactly what our soldiers and family members think of all the Morale, Welfare and Recreation services and exactly what the commanders say about services that help them and their units accomplish their mission," Weaver said.
