The Air Force on Tuesday announced the death of an airman assigned to Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.
Tech. Sgt. Clayton Edwards, a conventional maintenance production supervisor with the 52nd Maintenance Squadron, died at his home late Friday, according to an Air Force press release.
"The cause of death is under investigation," the release stated.
Edwards is survived by his wife, Meltem, and two stepchildren, Pinar Yigit and Can Yigit, who are all in Germany. He is also survived by his parents, Ernest H. and Carrie L. Edwards, brothers Ernest H. Edwards Jr., Army Master Sgt. Jason A. Edwards, Marine Corps Maj. Rodney S. Edwards and Lesley R. Edwards, and sisters Janice E. Smith, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, and Angelia M. Edwards.
No other information about the death was available Tuesday.
A memorial service for Edwards will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Spangdahlem chapel.
