SEOUL — U.S. Forces Korea civilians can register online for this fall’s noncombatant evacuation operation, which runs Oct. 1 to Oct. 24.

Unlike previous exercises, there will be no emergency evacuation centers where civilians can register.

The Courageous Channel exercise gives U.S. Forces Korea practice inprocessing civilians it would have to evacuate from South Korea during an attack by North Korea, a natural disaster or other emergency.

It also familiarizes civilians with the process.

To register, go to https://neo.korea.army.mil.

After registering, civilians should print the forms and place them in their evacuation packets.

All family members, nonessential Department of Defense civilians and contractors are required to register.

Civilians without access to the Web site on their home computers should be able to access the site from computers on base, 8th Army spokesman Maj. Jerome Pionk said Monday.
