Museum plans final openingDARMSTADT, Germany — The Veterans’ Memorial Museum at Griesheim Casern will be open to the public one final time Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
Germans and other non-U.S. Defense Department ID card holders must be at the post’s main gate by 2 p.m. to gain entrance to the museum. Defense ID card holders can enter unescorted.
The museum, which opened in July, features war relics, military uniforms, newspapers and other memorabilia dating to the American Revolution, but the majority of the exhibits are dedicated to World War II.
“This will be the last big event,” said George Robinson Jr., the museum’s curator and owner of many of the exhibits.
