MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — Misawa community members and several organizations on base will host “V-Day” Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. in the Sollars Elementary School multipurpose room.

V-Day is a dramatic theatrical performance conducted to raise awareness of violence against women in an effort to prevent it, organizers say.

Because some of the pieces are not suitable for children, child care will be available.

Community fair at Yongsan to feature fun for kidsClowns, games and other activities will be featured from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 5 at the Yongson Garrison, South Korea, Child Development Center during the Annual Community Fun Fair.

The free event is sponsored by Yongsan Child and Youth Services.
