YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea — Seoul American Elementary School needs parent volunteers to help supervise an after-school running program for fourth- and fifth-graders preparing for the on-post Memorial Day 5K race.

Volunteers will monitor and encourage participants as they learn proper stretching and running form during the six-week “Heart and Seoul” program. Prior running experience is helpful but not necessary, and slow jogging will be required.

Volunteers will work from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from April 15 through May 26. Volunteers must submit a background check form.

Yongsan schools to conduct evacuation drillSEOUL — All Department of Defense Dependents Schools on Yongsan Garrison will conduct a mass evacuation exercise Monday.

Drivers should expect traffic delays on the garrison.

Parents who plan to take children out of school for appointments Monday should plan accordingly, according to DODDS safety and security office personnel.
