CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — The Marine Corps Community Services’ Exceptional Family Member Program has scheduled a series of autism awareness classes for April, which is Autism Awareness Month, according to a Marine news release.
The Autism Awareness Brown Bag Series classes will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays at the Camp Foster Chapel Center.

Kadena Red Cross to sponsor blood driveKADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — The Armed Forces Blood Services will conduct a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24 at the Kadena Red Cross, according to a Red Cross news release.
The Kadena Red Cross is located in Bldg. 910 at Douglas Avenue and Fairchild Avenue across from Burger King near Gate 3.

Kadena Red Cross to hold dog CPR classKADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — The Kadena Air Base Red Cross is scheduled to hold a dog cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid class from 9 a.m. to noon March 24, according to a Red Cross release.
The class, which costs $25, will be held at the Kadena Red Cross in Building 910. It will introduce participants to the “mouth to snout” technique used to resuscitate a dog, according to the release.

Volunteers needed at Kadena High SchoolKADENA AIR BASE, Okinawa — Kadena High School’s theater department is seeking volunteers to help build sets for a spring musical, according to a school release.
“Footloose” is scheduled to run May 23–25.
Design experience is unnecessary, “only basic construction ability and a willingness to lead,” according to the release. Schedule permitting, volunteers would work with students on afternoons and weekends.
