The regional security office at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin has released a security warning after a Pond Security vehicle and guard uniforms were stolen sometime Thursday evening or Friday morning.

The vehicle is a blue Volkswagen van, license plate HU PD 481. Police are investigating the theft.

The security office also released information reminding military community members that all Pond Security personnel are required to carry a red mission identification card.

If community members are aware of a security guard without the proper ID, or if they see the blue Volkswagen van, they should call the security office at 030-8305-1400.
