SEOUL — Two U.S. soldiers were convicted last month by Incheon District Court for trademark law violations.
Maj. Brenda Suggars was fined 1,000,000 won (about $1,110) and Sgt. 1st Class Malanie English was fined 500,000 won (about $550), according to information published on the U.S. Forces Korea Web site.
Both soldiers declined through an 8th Army spokesman to comment on the July 10 convictions.
“This as a matter between this individual and the Korean court system. Soldiers are required to respect Korean laws,” 8th Army spokesman Lt. Col. Brodrick Bailey said in an e-mail.
