VICENZA, Italy — An American civilian employee was found dead Tuesday morning on Caserma Ederle, according to a release issued by the Southern European Task Force (Airborne).

The man was identified as James R. Hay.

Master Sgt. Todd Oliver of the SETAF public affairs office said a memorial service is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the base chapel.

He said he could not discuss further details and referred questions to the Criminal Investigation Command. A call to the CID public affairs office was not returned by press time.
