SEOUL — The United Service Organizations is providing free transportation to the Asian X Games 2005 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul from Friday through Sunday.
Buses will leave Yongsan Garrison’s main post bus terminal at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day and admission to the games also is free.
This is the first year that Seoul will host the games, sponsored by Kia Motors, which feature aggressive inline skating, skateboarding, sport climbing, wakeboarding, MotoX and and BMX freestyle, according to an X Games news release.
More than 300 world-class athletes will compete for more than $110,000 in prize money.
ESPN will televise the games to more than 140 countries and territories, according to the release, and asianXgames.com also will offer extensive coverage.
Those wishing to travel on their own to the games should take Subway Line No. 6 from Nokasapyung Station (between Yongsan Garrison and Itaewon). Transfer to Line No. 2 at Shindang Station and exit at the Sports Complex Station.
