1st AD soldier dies of wounds received in Anbar

A soldier assigned to the Friedberg, Germany-based 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, died Wednesday from wounds sustained in enemy action in the Anbar province west of Baghdad.
According to information from Multi-National Corps-Iraq, the command in charge of all fighting forces in the country, the soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
Most of the 1st BCT soldiers in the province are near Ramadi, one of the largest Sunni Arab cities in Iraq.
