Col. David R. Hogg took over as the 1st Armored Division’s assistant division commander for support during a ceremony last week.
He replaces Brig. Gen. Michael Tucker, who left the Baumholder post earlier this summer.
Hogg’s last assignment was as commander of Operations Group, National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif. He is a 1981 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy.
“Col. Hogg is a great warrior with tremendous capability who will now serve as a senior tactical commander for the Baumholder community,” Maj. Gen. Fred D. Robinson, 1st AD commander said during Thursday’s ceremony.
“I could not have asked for a finer professional to fill this position to prepare soldiers for multiple missions in support of the global war on terrorism.”
