ALZEY, Germany — Santa Claus and more than 100 personnel from the U.S. and European militaries landed on a farmer’s field Monday to kick off International Jump Week, an event meant to build international partnerships and improve the interoperability of U.S. military with its allies.

Taking off from Ramstein Air Base, waves of personnel dropped onto the landing zone throughout the morning.

Santa was the first to jump, plunging from a U.S. Air Force C-130 with a load of toys.
