This weekend: London's Notting Hill Carnival kicks off

The Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s biggest street festival, takes over a swath of West London on Aug. 26-27. If you have children in tow, visit on Sunday; Monday is the day adults come out to play. Caribbean sounds and flavors burst forth in the form of calypso, soca and steel bands, jerk chicken and curried goat.
