Patrick SnowmanFootball, Kubasaki, OkinawaLast week: Anchored the Dragons at center on offense, defensive end and on special teams, helping lead them to a 43-18 romp Saturday over Daegu American and a sweep of their non-conference opponents from Korea before heading into the two-game Okinawa Activities Council qualifying series for the Far East Division I playoffs.Snowman, a senior transfer from Pace High School in northwest Florida, helped block for running back Deon Lewis (14 carries, 98 yards, 1 touchdown) and provided pass protection for quarterback Cristian Rivera, who was 9-for-15 for 208 yards and 3 touchdowns, all to Brandon Crawford. Snowman also punted four times for an average of 51.5 yards, including a long of 57 yards.“He’s been an outstanding addition to our team,” coach Fred Bales said. “He knows how to work hard every day. He’s an everyday, lunch-pail kind of guy, he gets the job done, he’s a great character guy, his academics are very sound. Good teammate, good player, good all-around human being.”Selected by Stars and Stripes staff.
