With regard to the Dec. 6 opinion piece “Why a colonel is retiring early — to teach”: Bravo to Col. Paul Yingling!

Soon-to-retire Col. Yingling is eschewing the Pentagon revolving door in favor of teaching high school and the opportunity to give something back to the society that gave him so much. In this era of declining American competitiveness, he will affect national security more as a high school teacher that he could hope to as contractor or overpaid “consultant” to some flag officer. I hope more senior officers follow this example.

Paul’s numbers deserve notice

Where is the fair and balanced reporting on all of the candidates on the Republican presidential race?

All I read about is the so-called “front-runners.” Where is the coverage for Ron Paul?

I would love to read and learn more about him, and for more people to be able to do the same. He is neck and neck with the front-runners in the polls and even leading in some others, but still nothing hardly at all about him in the paper or on the news channels.
