2010— 8-1 overall, .889, 264 points for, 88 points against. 6-0; 210 points for, 40 points against, in Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam’s Interscholastic Football League. Won IFL semifinal 27-8 on Oct. 16 vs. Father Duenas Memorial. Won IFL championship Bamboo Bowl 7-6 on Oct. 23 vs. George Washington. Lost interarea exhibition 34-20 on Oct. 30 at eventual Far East Division I champion Kadena.

Head coach— Jacob Dowdell, first season.

Returning players— 10.

Returning starters— 5.

Base offense— Spread option.

Base defense— 5-2.

Key returners— Theatris Eaton, Sr., DE; Nijee Smith, Sr., DE; Sean Sweet, Jr., QB; Matt Eaton, So., WR.

Strengths— Strong passing potential, solid defensive ends, heart, dedication, learning quickly.

Drawbacks— Lack of depth, experience.

Overview— Rebuilding-reloading. Dowdell’s an experienced coach, the Panthers now have a winning tradition and Sweet may be the best QB Guam High has ever fielded, but replacing departed senior stars Devon Jacobs, Paul Floyd, Benjamin Duff, Marcus Dollard and David John Cruz may be too tough a task.
