The author of the July 27 letter “Who checks Fact Checkers?” should have been more deliberate in his own fact-checking before criticizing the author of an article that appeared in Stars and Stripes for stating that Poland borders Russia. Poland shares a land border with the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad Oblast, so it is geographically feasible for a Patriot missile battery to be stationed in Poland near its border with Russia.
