Businesses stay open late, musicians play on the street corners and pop-up bars serve tasty beverages. This year’s competition, “Art on Trees,” sees local proprietors compete to decorate the most beautiful Christmas tree. International Dog ShowLocation: Exhibition Centre Letnany, Prague, Czech Republic Date: Dec. 2 (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) Watch dog breeds from Affenpinschers to Zwergschnauzers compete in their various categories. Vendors offering accessories and other products for dogs are on hand as well. Admission: adult entry costs 100 Czech koruna, students pay 50 CZK, and those up the age of six enter for free. St. Andrew’s Day Torchlight ParadeLocation: Botanic Gardens, Glasgow, Scotland Date: Nov. 30 (from 6:15 p.m.) Join the Glaswegians as they celebrate the day of their country’s patron saint with a parade featuring pipers and Samba bands.
