Genuss FestivalLocation: Stadtpark, Vienna, AustriaDates: May 10-12 A city park in full bloom is transformed into a gourmet festival at which some 190 exhibitors present high-quality delicacies at stylishly decorated stands. With vendors hailing from across the land, visitors can sample a range of Austrian specialties, from poppy seed noodles to herbal ice cream.Admission: Free

Covent Garden May Fayre and Puppet FestivalLocation: St Paul’s Church, Bedford Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 8 London, EnglandDate: May 12 Crowds of all ages will be celebrating Mr. Punch's 357th birthday close to the very spot where Samuel Pepys first laid eyes on the feisty puppet in England back in May of 1662. This traditional May Fayre in the garden of St Paul’s Church begins with a Grand Procession led by the Superior Brass Band at 11 a.m., followed by a special church service at noon. Puppet show performances take place 12:30-5:30 p.m.Admission: Free

Taste of ParisLocation: Grand Palais, avenue Winston Churchill, Paris 8e, FranceDates: May 9-12 The beautiful glass and iron venue on the famed Champs-Élysées becomes a pop-up restaurant in which taster-size signature dishes are created by top chefs. Artisan food stalls and a champagne bar also make worthy places to stop a while. Time-limited sessions are available for either afternoon or evening hours.Admission: Tickets cost 20 euros for adults and 15 euros for those ages 10-18 when purchased online. Once inside the venue, sampling the dishes entails an additional cost. Dishes are served in taster-sized portions and are priced between 6 and 8 euros; signature dishes generally go for between 10 and 12 euros.

TrempelmarktLocation: City center, Nuremberg, GermanyDates: May 10-11 Twice a year, a vast zone between the Old Town Hall in the north and the St. Lorenz Church in the south becomes a huge flea market attracting up to 200,000 visitors, making it the country’s largest event of its type to be based in an Old Town. The stalls are up and running 4 p.m.-midnight on Friday and 7 a.m.-8 p.m.Admission: Free
