The run is named in honor of Frederick Roberts, a British military leader who returned from Afghanistan as the “Earl of Kandahar.” Some of the world’s best male skiers will be taking to the slopes here. Moors and Christians FestivalLocation: Bocairent, Valencia, SpainDates: Feb. 2-5 On the first week of February each year, Bocairent honors Saint Blai, its patron saint, with a colorful festival made up of parades, pyrotechnics, music and loud bangs. Five groups of “Christians” and four groups of “Moors” participate in the celebrations.
